Orgalim hosted last week the first meeting of its Executive Forum for Advanced Manufacturing (EFAM), attended by senior executives from leading manufacturing technology companies. EFAM brings together both providers and users of advanced manufacturing technologies in a unique forum to help shape the industrial policy agenda for Europe.

Attending were senior executives from EATON, Fastems, Pepperl+Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, Schneider Electric and Texas Instruments, all members of Orgalim for Corporates.

Advanced manufacturing technologies are critical to unlocking the digital and green transition across all industrial ecosystems. "This forum provides a vital space for high-level executives across manufacturing sectors to connect and set the agenda to ensure Europe leverages these technologies in which European companies already excel. I am delighted at the strong interest and progress on advancing our shared priorities", commented Malte Lohan, Orgalim Director General.

EFAM also serves as an advisory forum to Orgalim’s Board of Directors. This first meeting took place on the same day as a meeting of the EU Industrial Forum. Orgalim is co-curator of Task Force 5, set up by the Industrial Forum and focusing specifically on supporting the uptake of advanced manufacturing technologies by European industry.
