Taking stock of the digital transformation: Orgalime at the DEI Stakeholder Forum

26 March 2018

Organised jointly by the European Commission and the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, the 2018 Digitising European Industry (DEI) Stakeholder Forum will take place in Paris on 27 and 28 March. For the second year running, the forum will host guests from the worlds of industry, policy and academia, spanning the national and EU levels, to discuss the state of play in the digital transformation in European industry. The implementation of the Commission’s DEI Initiative will be in the spotlight - from Digital Innovation Hubs to Public-Private Partnerships such as Factories of the Future; from financing and digital skills to digital industrial platforms.

As the voice of the technology firms leading the digitisation of industry, Orgalime will be in attendance again this year. Association President Tomas Hedenborg has been invited to participate in a panel discussion on raising awareness among business leaders of the importance and potential of digital technologies, with a particular focus on small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs). For Orgalime, targeted support for digitisation is a central element of a forward-looking industrial strategy: read more on Tomas Hedenborg’s take on the key focus areas, in a post published as part of the Commission’s DEI blog.
