Orgalim welcomes the provisional political agreement reached this week during trilogue negotiations on the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), a big step forward for the circular economy and sustainable products in Europe.

Our industries previously welcomed the Commission proposal for an ESPR which will help optimise the way products are used throughout the economy and society, by reducing the negative life cycle environmental impacts of products and improving the functioning of the internal market, while benefitting from efficient digital solutions.

Orgalim looks forward to the adoption of the ESPR, after completion of work at technical level, to assess the final text.

Orgalim is committed to continue working closely with policymakers to ensure the final ESPR and the future ESPR Delegated Acts will achieve maximum benefit for the competitiveness of Europe’s technology industries, and for the EU economy as a whole.
