Policies & Issues: Internal Market - Product Safety Legislation

On 4 November DG Enterprise of the European Commission submitted a modified discussion paper, taking into account the results of the discussion that took place at the meeting of the Working Party on the LVD Update in September 2002.

In this position paper drafted by Orgalime Technical Co-ordination Committee in co-ordination with many European Sector Committees, Orgalime focuses on some key issues, such as ageing equipment, ergonomics, overlap with the machinery directive and protection from exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF).
