Environment: Orgalim response to the consultation by the Platform on Sustainable Finance on EU taxonomy

Published: 5 October 2021

Policies & Issues: Environment

The Platform on Sustainable Finance, an advisory expert group on the EU Taxonomy to the Commission, issued its draft recommendations for activities contributing to environmental objectives in August 2021. These draft recommendations outline a substantial contribution and do no significant harm in screening criteria for a set of economic activities in relation to the four non-climate environmental objects covering water, circular economy, pollution prevention, and biodiversity.

Orgalim, as an active member of the Platform, has been actively involved in drafting these recommendations since November 2020. On 24 September 2021, Orgalim also provided its contribution to the Platform’s public call for feedback. In our response, we focused on commenting draft recommendations for the manufacturing of machinery, metals and electronics, and associated services and solutions.
