Legal Guide: Defect Liability in Europe

The aim of the guide is to provide a brief overview of the basics of liability law concerning defective products according to various European national jurisdictions and to give examples for limitation clauses in general conditions in line with the relevant legal systems.

It is of utmost importance for company representatives dealing internationally with supply contracts to know what liability risk he/she incurs and to limit it to a manageable extent to reduce this uncertainty.
