Sustainable, Long-term Investments & Competitive European Industry Intergroup - Launch Event

30 September, 16.00 - 18.00

About the intergroup

The new European Parliament Intergroup ‘Sustainable, long-term investments & competitive European industry’ was established by MEPs from across the political spectrum seeking to promote dialogue on the future of industry and investment in Europe.

Created as a platform for exchange between MEPs and societal stakeholders, intergroups are cross-party groupings that bring together MEPs interested in particular topics.

This is the first intergroup focused on EU industry from a competitiveness and sustainability perspective and is steered by a Bureau co-chaired by MEPs Carvalho (EPP), Riquet (Renew Europe) and Bonafè (S&D), with a number of further MEPs opting to join the group as members.

Orgalim and CECE played a key role in shaping this new grouping, and will be active in running the work of the Intergroup Secretariat, together with other stakeholders.

The launch event

The launch event will gather the MEPs steering the intergroup, as well as organisations that have expressed interest in joining the intergroup as partners.

Further details of the event will follow in due course.  In the meantime, please save the date in your calendar.
