The European Commission’s AI Continent Action Plan aims to boost the development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) while acknowledging the need for regulatory clarity and a streamlined, simple implementation of the AI Act. One of the key points of the action plan is the Apply AI Strategy, an initiative aimed at identifying AI use cases and boosting their adoption in the field of advanced manufacturing and robotics.
In our position paper, we outline eight policy recommendations that are needed for the Apply AI Strategy to be successful and effective.
Industrial AI is key to ensuring Europe’s technology industries are competitive and we welcome the AI Continent Action Plan and the Apply AI strategy. However, we will need to stay vigilant of industry-specific AI challenges and ensure that our insights on regulatory challenges and proposed solutions are heard.
