Orgalim position on the Environmental Omnibus: The case for further simplification 

Orgalim welcomes the European Commission’s Environmental Omnibus proposal as a positive step toward reducing regulatory complexity while supporting sustainable competitiveness in the EU.

However, further simplification is needed to ensure legislation remains coherent, avoids duplication of reporting obligations and provides industry with a predictable regulatory framework.

In this position paper, we call on co-legislators to maintain key simplification provisions, introduce targeted amendments and complement the proposal with additional measures in future initiatives.
