Europe's manufacturing industries are entering a defining moment. Operating at the heart of technological change and the clean and digital transitions, they are re-shaping how products are designed, made and traded. In the wake of rising geopolitical tensions and fierce global competition, Europe’s manufacturing industries need favourable business conditions to lead, compete, and succeed. Manufacturing is about retaining Europe’s global technology leadership. It’s a highly innovative industrial ecosystem where research becomes commercial innovation, where advanced technologies are deployed at scale, where skilled people create value, and where Europe's ability to compete globally is ultimately tested.
The 2027 European Manufacturing Summit will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers and relevant stakeholders in a joint event to explore what Europe's manufacturers need to retain tech leadership in the years to come and remain globally competitive. Covering key topics such as innovation, industrial competitiveness, regulatory burden, trade and skills, the Summit will present a united perspective from across the manufacturing ecosystem on what conditions Europe needs to continue making, innovating and exporting. Rather than considering these issues in isolation, the event will demonstrate how research, industrial policy, trade policy and workforce development must work together seamlessly if Europe is to keep and expand its manufacturing base in the years ahead.
Please note that this event is by invitation only. Please contact the Orgalim Secretariat if you would like to attend.
