We have co-signed this document together with 77 other EU-Mercosur business associations, covering a wide range of industries and sectors. Collectively, we account for a substantial share of the more than €159 billion in goods and services traded between the EU and the Mercosur region in 2022. The economic partnership between these regions is further underlined by significant mutual investment, amounting to approximately €380 billion. These trade and investment flowsare crucial for sustaining millions of jobs on both sides, contributing significantly to our economic strength. Therefore, we call on you to prioritise the swift conclusion of the EU-Mercosur free trade
agreement negotiations, a step that is key for preserving our joint competitiveness
