Twenty-six major EU trade associations call for fast Mercosur agreement

Representing a wide array of industries, twenty six of Europe's biggest trade associations have expressed full support for the swift ratification of the EU-Mercosur Partnership Agreement in a co-signed statement towards the EU's institutions. Collectively they cover a significant portion of the total trade in goods and services between the EU and the Mercosur - worth over 153 billion euros in 2024.

Calling it a "beacon in the EU’s diversification strategy" they refer to the deal as a critical route to ensure the EU’s long-term competitiveness.

These co-signatories represent a wide spectrum of European industry. They all consider the EU-Mercosur trade agreement a major opportunity for shared growth and stability.
