The ECF aims to boost Europe’s competitiveness by financially supporting strategic technologies and manufacturing. It will streamline and strengthen EU funding for European projects throughout their entire investment journey. It comes at a critical moment for Europe’s technology industries, which have faced a decline in investments for a third consecutive year.
During the discussion, we will try to answer two main questions:
- How can the Fund ensure financial support for European technologies that may not fall under the 'strategic' label but are nonetheless essential to competitiveness and resilience?
- How can the Fund safeguard adequate research and innovation support for European technology industries?
Following its formal proposal on 16 July, we have put together a panel of key stakeholders – including the Commission, the European Parliament, the Permanent Representation of Denmark and experts in RDI – so that you can learn more about the Fund, including the potential opportunities and risks it presents for Europe’s technology industries. Participants will have an opportunity to express their expectations from the future Fund. We will discuss its potential structure, objectives and how you can access it.
Join us for what is sure to be an engaging and informative exchange.
