Friday 16 January: Orgalim Director General Ulrich Adam visited Smiths Detection's production site in Wiesbaden, Germany. A centre of excellence for the production of security scanners since 1946, the visit included a comprehensive tour of the factory, providing a first-hand look at their operations, capabilities, and ongoing technological innovations.
The Wiesbaden facility showcases the latest developments in x-ray, CT scanning, and AI-enabled security scanning technology. Smiths Detection's products are all designed to improve accuracy and reduce false alarms, thereby significantly increasing efficiency in airport security operations.
