On 30 March 2022, the European Commission adopted the proposal for a Regulation establishing a framework for setting ecodesign requirements for sustainable products. The proposed Regulation aims to reduce the negative life cycle environmental impacts of products and improve the functioning of the internal market, while benefitting from efficient digital solutions. This proposal also foresees creating digital product passports which will gather data on products along the value chain.

Join us for an interactive policy exchange between representatives from the European Commission, industry and civil society, to debate the impact of the proposed new Regulation, and how it can achieve maximum benefit for the future competitiveness of Europe’s manufacturing industries, and for the EU economy as a whole.

Confirmed Speakers:

  • Michele Galatola, Policy Officer, DG GROW, European Commission

  • Louise Bünemann, Chair of Orgalim Environmental Sustainability WG and Head of EU Environmental Policy at the Confederation of Danish Industries

  • Margaux Le Gallou, Programme Manager, ECOS, NGO
